Hello! I’m David Hood
Based in NYC, I am an independent filmmaker, videographer, and colorist with a B.A. in film studies and physics from Wesleyan University.
My portfolio includes work on over 20 film and video projects, including seven where I am credited as director and/or producer. Primarily, I work with music artists to create video content for online platforms. I love to travel and am available for videography within the U.S., as well as color grading in DaVinci Resolve internationally (which I complete remotely).

While at Wesleyan, I wrote, directed, and edited Pancakes, a 12-minute scripted short film, for my senior thesis project. I also have internship experience in unscripted television and independent film distribution, including working in casting for HGTV’s Rico to the Rescue (Season 2), which is now streaming on MAX.
